[GHHF] Roundup of ground level activities from April 1 thru 10, 2024.

"I was searching for the truth. I went through some books on yoga and discovered that Hinduism is a very good religion. It is open-minded. It teaches you about God. It also teaches you about the science of the soul. Later I went to Rishikesh and stayed with Sivananda's ashram, the Divine Life Society. There I found that Hinduism is a straightforward religion that revealed the truth.” Swami Ghanananda Saraswati

There I found that Hinduism is a straightforward religion that revealed the truth.” Swami Ghanananda Saraswati Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is conducting numerous activities at the ground level to preserve and protect Sanatana Dharma. We are conducting these activities in eight States in Bharat and Bangladesh. Some of you may have missed reading some of the articles. Following are the articles from April 1 through 10. You can clink on the link to read the articles you are interested in.   1) [GHHF] Organized a village meeting, conducted Bhajans, and started Bala Samskar Kendra and appointed 19 member-committee to protect a Village in Andhra Pradesh. (April 1) Today, a meeting was organized by all the Hindu relatives at Veera Brahmendra Swamy Devasthanam in Dalit Colony in Andepalli village. First, by organizing a bhajan program and then setting up a children's Bala Samskar Kendra in our village, it was informed that in the future, our children will learn about temple protection and how to respect elders with a spiritual sense of devotion. Similarly, the name of Jai Shree Ram was written on every house in our village, and it was said that if we want to ask for more programs in the future, a committee should be formed. A new committee of 19 members was formed in response to this. In 2022, GHHF helped build Hindu Temple in Andepalli https://www.savetemples.org/post/ghhf-organized-a-village-meeting-conducted-bhajans-and-started-bala-samskar-kendra-and-appointed-19-member-committee-to-protect-a-village-in-andhra-pradesh/1914 2) [GHHF] Imprinted more than one hundred signs of “Jai Sri Ram” and “Om Namah Sivaya” to make Hindus proud of their Dharma in Vuyyuru township, Andhra Pradesh. (April 2) Ever since Ayodhya Rama Prana Pratishta was announced, GHHF started imprinting “Jai Sri Ram” signs in six different States in Bharat, Bangladesh, and USA. More than 250 Volunteers from different States requested GHHF to send stencils to imprint the Sri Rama Signs. One such example is from Vuyyuru where Sri Ankineedu Prasad and his team took initiative and started imprinting two signs: Jai Sri Ram and Om Namah Sivaya. The families in these Villages and townships were incredibly happy to have these signs imprinted on their doors and walls. In fact, many families called and requested our volunteers to come and imprint the signs. They have the choice to do either one of the signs or both. https://www.savetemples.org/post/ghhf-imprinted-more-than-one-hundred-signs-of-jai-sri-ram-and-om-namah-sivaya-to-make-hindus-proud-of-their-dharma-in-vuyyuru-township-andhra-pradesh/1915   3.  Triple Talaq victim sought our legal help - finally converted to Hinduism and married a Hindu boy arranged by our Board Member and Tejaswini team. I filed case but for the last month I am counseling her continuously about the status of women in Islam and Hinduism. I told her that problem and solution both lies with the acceptance of the fact that if she again marries a Muslim boy then same thing will happen. https://www.savetemples.org/post/ghhf-triple-talaq-victim-sought-our-legal-help-finally-converted-to-hinduism-and-married-a-hindu-boy-arranged-by-our-board-member-and-tejaswini-team/1916 4. An article on “Seven initiatives of the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation that will be remembered by generations to come” published in Medium magazine by S. Rajavardhan. (April 4) Only recently, with the advent of the internet, have the nefarious designs of propagandists been uncovered. The internet has enabled documentation, analytical prowess, and connectivity, revealing the threats faced by the Hindu community. Visionaries like Shri Rajiv Dixit began campaigning against this in the 1990s, while in the new millennium, community leaders like Dr. VV Prakash Rao have taken initiatives to unite the community through actionable efforts, notably through the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation. This article explores seven initiatives crucial for the present time, and with the GHHF leading these initiatives on the ground, their positive impact will be remembered for generations to come. https://www.savetemples.org/post/ghhf-an-article-on-seven-initiatives-of-the-global-hindu-heritage-foundation-that-will-be-remembered-by-generations-to-come-published-in-medium-magazine-by-s.-rajavardhan/1917 5. Bala Samskar Kendras – Students learned to chant Ramaskandam Slokam to avoid getting bad dreams at night. (April 6) The Ramaskandam mantra is one such mantra. It is a Hanuman mantra that is usually chanted or listened to before you get to sleep, to keep nightmares away. The mantra also invokes the spirit of Bheem and Garuda to bolster your inherent courage. Before going to sleep, one ends the day with this prayer. One chants this mantra invoking Lord Hanuman and asks for forgiveness for wrong acts that one may have knowingly or knowingly committed during the day. We commit so many improprieties in our thinking, speech, and bodily actions during that day. We want to make sure that those thoughts and actions would not disturb our sleep and prevent having bad dreams. Indirectly we are praying for peaceful sleep, sweet dreams, and good night. https://www.savetemples.org/post/ghhf-bala-samskar-kendras-students-learned-to-chant-ramaskandam-slokam-to-avoid-getting-bad-dreams-at-night/1919 7. Everybody talks about Love Jihad, but no one is taking this pain to work against PFI or Muslim Organizations to curb it. Probably, the GHHF Assam chapter is the only one that talks less and works more on Love jihad. Since our work is twofold, we do feel that awareness and action should go simultaneously. The following are some of our activities/ achievements organized by Assam Chapter. https://www.savetemples.org/post/ghhf-special-report-on-love-jihad-ghhf-assam-working-tirelessly-to-curb-love-jihad-and-protect-hindu-girls/1922 10. [GHHF] Ugadi was celebrated by reading predictions for the New Year, organizing Bhajans, and talked about the differences between Hinduism and Christianity.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is committed to celebrate all the festivals and instill Bhakti among devotees in the villages. Our Pracharaks organize many programs and celebrate the festivals by explaining the meaning and significance of the Ugadi.   On April 9th, Hindu dharma campaigning was done in Seebai village of Kalyandurg mandal in Andhra Pradesh. Sri Gopi Chary Garu talked about the importance of Ugadi and why we celebrate.  All Hindu festivals have their own significance and importance. Hindu culture has a rich heritage, with numerous festivals. Each celebrated festival throughout the year has its own distinct value and ritual practice. Ugadi is celebrated in many states like Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Hindus take pride in celebrating festivals, because it is time for getting together as families. Ugadi like many other Hindu festivals believes in replacing vices with Virtues. This festival is celebrated to thank and celebrate the bounteous crop and also is a sign of the end of an old era and the beginning of a new one. Ugadi pachchadi is a dish that has become synonymous with Ugadi. It is made of new jaggery, raw mango pieces and neem flowers and new tamarind which truly reflect life - a combination of sweet, sour, and bitter tastes!  Significance of Ugadi The name "Ugadi" came from Yuga + Aadi which means "Beginning of a New age. It is believed that the creator according to Hinduism, Lord Brahma started his work of creation on the Chaitra Sudha Padhyami(Ugadi). The onset of spring also in some way symbolically marks the beginning of a new life. The new life seen in the fields and meadows, with colorful blossoms, also signifies prosperity and well-being. Puja / Prayer in relation to Hindu Dharma V/S Christianity In Hinduism, the word puja is personal and sound system is used only during festivals, when the deity is meditated upon or worshiped individually in a secluded place. All the assembled Hindus hear Sri Gopi Chary Garu talk about various aspects of pujas and importance of Krodhi year and read about the forecast for each of the Naksatras.  Similarly in Christianity though    Comparing Christianity, Sri Gopi Chary said that to attract people, they need to feed them the meat, to pray the pastor needs loudspeaker to shout and cry and jump. Without this piece of meat, there is no prayer. Moreover, if you put on microphones and listen to the screams and cries at night while the demons roam, it is not like a prayer, it is like the screams of a madman. It was informed to Hindus how much there is difference between Hinduism and Christianity.  Following the celebration of Ugadi, Bhajans were conducted where villagers participated enthusiastically and participated in singing Bhajans. Devotional singing an help to quiet the mind so that the heart can open to the divine, allowing us to taste the blissful reality that is our true nature. It is a participatory spiritual practice in which everyone is encouraged to sing and express their inner joy. Listening to devotional bhajans and aartis can have several benefits, including: 1.    Spiritual upliftment: Devotional music can help in creating a peaceful and spiritual environment, leading to a sense of inner peace and tranquility. 2.    Emotional well-being: The soothing melodies and uplifting lyrics of bhajans and aartis can evoke positive emotions, reduce stress, and promote emotional well-being. 3.    Connection to higher power: Many people find that listening to devotional music helps them feel connected to their spiritual beliefs and a higher power, providing a sense of comfort and solace. 4.    Cultural and traditional preservation: Bhajans and aartis often carry cultural and traditional significance, and listening to them can help preserve and promote these aspects of heritage. 5.    Community and fellowship: Listening to devotional music can be a communal experience, bringing together individuals in shared spiritual practice and fostering a sense of community and fellowship. [GHHF] Nearly 4,000 thirsty devotees were served Buttermilk at Akkamamba Jatara (Fair) to relieve the scorching sun.

"As the Indian sages pondered on the problem of good and evil, they were confronted with the apparent injustices and cruelties of the world around them, and this state of affairs was finally reconciled with their idea of Brahman by the conception of a universal ethical law applying to all life. This law as proclaimed as the law of karma. In the words of the Upanishads, "As is a man's desire so is his will, and as is his will so is his deed, and whatever deed he does that he will reap." Gertrude Emerson Sen Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has been at the forefront of doing Annadanam and engaged in charity work for years. During the Pandemic in 2020, GHHF served more than 200,000 meals to the needy in Andhra Pradesh. During floods in Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, GHHF provided meals to the needy by carrying food packets on boats to reach the remote villages. In the USA, we also partnered with other organizations to provide meals to the First Responders in the Dallas metropolitan area by visiting Police Stations, Fire Stations, and many Hospital staff.  Akkamamba Jatara (Fair) Akkamamba fair was held on Ugadi day on a grand scale this year at Vela Akka Mamba Temple in Kalyandurg Temple. Devotees come in large numbers and participate in the service of the Goddess. Every year, the devotees fast with great faith and go to and go to Akkamamba Hill with Bonas, offering themselves in the presence of Ammavaru. It is firmly believed that if they do this, their wishes will be fulfilled, and happiness will be bestowed in the house. Many devotees climb the steps up the hill and perform special puja at koneru (Lake). If a childless couple climbs and performs puja, it is believed to have their wish fulfilled. On this occasion of the fair, the whole area turns into a festival with thousands of people. It is a feast for the eyes to see. Devotees sometimes line up to see the Goddess from morning until night. Nearly 4,000 devotees served Buttermilk. Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has provided Buttermilk for the devotees who would be waiting in the scorching sun to satiate their thirst. As this happens to be summer, providing even water for the devotees is very hard. Thus, our Pracharaks decided to arrange Buttermilk and water for these devotees. Many people come from the surrounding villages to offer drinks and darshan to the Goddess. As it is summertime, devotees struggle to drink water due to the sun's heat.     Our Pracharaks Sri Gopi Swamy, Arjuna, Anil Kumar, Hanumanth, Ravi, and other volunteers acquired 50 liters of curd and 8 drums of filtered water and mixed them to make buttermilk. More than plastic glasses were also purchased to provide the drink to the devotees. The devotees were very appreciative of GHHF for providing buttermilk and water. Dana means giving, and Sewa means selfless service. In Hinduism, charity is about helping others without expecting something in return and because it is the right thing to do. Global Hindu Heritage Foundation realized the need to quench the thirst of the people attending the function, so it decided to provide water and buttermilk. We prepared a big banner and posted it at a particular location for visibility, enabling people to take the opportunity to have buttermilk and water.  Your donations are appreciated; By Zelle: ghhfusaorg@gmail.com PayPal: savetemples.org By Check: Or you can send a check payable to GHHF, 14726 Harmony Lane, Frisco, TX 75035. [GHHF] Bala Samskar Kendras – Students learned about the importance of Surya Namaskar and practiced it to get the benefits.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has been consistently working to preserve and protect our Sanatana Dharma for decades.  Many people across India have been calling to find out how we are organizing Ghar Waapasi and what it takes to organize in their respective States. We started Bala Samskar about One and half years ago with only few schools. As of now we have expanded to 200 villages to ensure that our children are protected from allurement and enticement.  Every Sunday, we have included Surya Namaskar activity as part of our syllabus.  Students are learning Practicing Surya Namaskaras What is Surya Namaskar?  In Sanskrit, surya means sun and namaskar means greeting or salutation. Surya Namaskar is then a greeting to the sun! It is an ancient ritual of twelve steps that warms up the body preparing it for yoga practice. That is why it is practiced at the beginning of a yoga class. This warming sequence has a rich history and holistic benefits for the body and mind. Read more to find out about this widely known and ancient yoga practice!  The Purpose of Surya Namaskar  Performing asanas in the rays of the sunrise sounds beautiful and inviting but what really are the reasons why we should practice Surya Namaskar?  Surya Namaskar comprises 12 steps that are purposefully woven together to benefit mind and body in various ways. Surya Namaskar is a practice in itself as well as a warming-up before performing further yoga asanas. It allows for “opening” of the body as it stretches, strengthens and lengthens all muscle groups. Surya Namaskar stimulates prana, life force energy through the body helping to regulate our mental and physical faculties.    The Mythology and Tradition Behind Surya Namaskar  In the Vedas, everything in the universe has a male and female side. The female side of the sun is nourishing and life-giving and in Hindu mythology depicted as Gayatri. The male side of the sun is invigorating, energy giving, and activating, and in Hindu mythology depicted as Surya.   Gayatri can be likened to yin energy and Surya to yang energy. In Sun Salutations our purpose is to warm-up and invigorate the body for the following asana practice.   Opposite to common belief, Surya Namaskara Kriya is practiced facing away from the rising sun. The purpose is to receive the stimulating and heating sun on your spine, as you warm up the body with Sun Salutations. Traditionally, one would greet the rising sun with a deep bow and prayer and then turn away from the rising sun to receive energy on the backside of the body.   As Surya gave life to the world through his powerful energy; heat energy energizes the body through the practice of Surya Namaskar.  The Benefits of Surya Namaskar  There are various studies emerging on the investigations of Surya Namaskar and yoga as having physical and mental health benefits. As Western and Eastern medical systems merge, the energetic benefits of Surya Namaskara also emerge. Here we look at some of these benefits and the connection between Surya Namaskar and the chakras.   Learn more about our 7 Chakras - The Complete Guide to the Energy Centers and their Effects Physical Health Benefits   Although Surya Namaskar can be practiced at any time of the day, it is best to practice at sunrise as sun rays can help revitalize the body & the mind. Surya Namaskar can be done in a 3-speed variation– slow, medium, or fast pace. A slowed pace helps increase body flexibility, and a medium pace helps in muscle toning. Fast-paced rounds of Surya Namaskar are beneficial to one’s cardiovascular health and can aid in weight loss.   Surya Namaskar helps improve blood circulation and strengthen heart function. It also enhances resting cardiovascular parameters such as systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse pressure.  Surya Namaskar stimulates a rhythmic breathing process as breath is synchronized with each movement. This empties the lungs more vigorously and there is an opportunity for more oxygenated air to refill them.   More alveoli of the lungs are expanded, stimulated, and then cleansed. Alveoli are a crucial part of the respiratory system associated with breathing. Alveoli are tiny, balloon-shaped air sacs. Their function is to move oxygen and carbon dioxide (CO2) molecules into and out of the bloodstream.  Through the rhythmic breathing of Surya Namaskara, the oxygen content of the blood is increased. This improves oxygenation of the body, especially the heart, and brain. The cardiac muscles also improve through this rhythmic breathing and movement.    Surya Namaskar is also beneficial for digestive health and other systems of the body as the practice of Surya Namaskar interacts with the organs of the body directly, by applying pressure, massaging, stretching, and overall toning up the muscles. This aids the elimination processes of the body.   Your donations are appreciated; By Zelle: ghhfusaorg@gmail.com PayPal: savetemples.org By Check: Or you can send a check payable to GHHF, 14726 Harmony Lane, Frisco, TX 75035. [GHHF] Aditya Hridayam was chanted by hundreds of Bhaktas on the court yards of Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Temple and Sri Surya Narayana Temple in Simhachalam Andhra Pradesh.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is committed to instill Bhakti among devotees who visit many Temples where they must wait for hours. Instead of standing idle and talking about unnecessary things, GHHF decided to provide Aditya Hridayam pamphlet for them to chant as they wait for their turn to have darshan of Lord Narasimha.   Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Temple built a beautiful Surya Narayana Image and for reasons unknown, it was not properly taken care of. GHHF volunteers cleaned the area around the Temple and planted a few shrubs and flower beds. Over a period, people started to come to seek the blessings of Surya Narayana. Many people are participating in this effort by sitting in front of the Deity and chanting Aditya Hridayam.   GHHF decided to have the devotees chant Aditya Hridayam because of its importance in content and benefits one accrues. This hymn is one of the great hymns on Surya Bhagavan. When Lord Rama was bewildered while battling Ravana, sage Agasthya taught him this potent mantra. Hearing all this, Sri Rama gains energy and new hope of defeating Ravana. He faces Ravana again after forming his war strategies and reviving his archery skills. After invocation by Sri Rama, Sri Surya appears to Sri Rama and blesses him to attain victory over Ravana – and thus it happened very soon after. The benefits of rays of sunlight are well-known for healing several diseases – including those related to eyes and skin. Immunity is at rock-bottom these days – due to high pollution, as well as multi-specialty approaches to health which do lead to unforeseen side-effects. Lord Surya as “God of Good Health” (in Hindu religion) bestows us immunity and digestive fire energy to withstand or prevent many diseases. Aditya Hridaya benefits include protection during fear, victory in battles, destruction of enemies, ability to overcome mental depression and cure diseases. Aditya Hridaya, a hymn extolling the Sun or Surya, was recited to Lord Rama on the battlefield before his battle with Ravana by the renowned sage Agastya. This famous hymn begins while Lord Rama is feeling tired while getting ready to fight. The Sun God, the celebrated king of all wins, is the subject of the enigmatic hymn. Surya is considered the ultimate source of energy, both physically and spiritually. Worshipping Surya is seen as a way to attain physical, mental and spiritual well-being, and to attain spiritual enlightenment. In Hinduism, the sun is also considered to be the deity who dispels ignorance and illuminates the path to righteousness. Why chant Aditya Hridayam?  It is believed to enhance spiritual awareness and deepen one’s connection with the higher realms; bestow physical well-being and promote overall health; can help overcome challenges and hurdles on the path to success; calm the mind and dispel negative thoughts, promoting a state of inner peace and tranquility; invoke his blessings and protection against negative influences, evil forces, and malefic planetary influences; help overcome fear, anxiety, and stress, promoting emotional well-being; inspire the practitioner to cultivate these positive qualities, leading to personal growth and ethical conduct. Benefits of Aditya Hridaya Stotram Valmiki Ramayana says reciting Aditya Hridaya will bestow several benefits. • Aditya Hridaya helps you to defeat your foes. • It will make you strong minded. • Chanting this Stotram will bestow you the blessings of Surya Dev, Sri Rama and Sage Agastya. • It will banish the troubles created by your enemies. • The Stotram will make you fearless and determined. • It will improve your health and boost your life span. [GHHF] Special Report on Love Jihad - GHHF Assam working tirelessly to curb Love jihad and protect Hindu Girls.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very appreciative of the tireless, diligent, and visionary efforts to protect Hindu girls from being trapped into love Jihad and recover the Hindu girls who were forced into Love Jihad.      Sri Samrat Dutt, who is a Member of the Board of Directors of GHHF, spends countless hours to protect Sanatana Dharma, conducting Bal Samskar Kendras, organizing Ghar Wapasi program, conducting numerous awareness campaigns, providing legal counseling, forming numerous village committees, and providing protection to innocent Hindu girls. 1. For the last two years, GHHF Assam has been running a project called Griha Sampark Abhiyan, and in this program, we touched more than 2000 Hindu families. Our cadets are knocking on the doors of Hindu houses and giving them a Booklet on love jihad. It is to be noted that we printed 5000 booklets on Love Jihad and 2200 books already distributed amongst Hindus. 2. Organized more than 100 village meetings, conducting awareness meetings with ladies and girls to make sure about the Love Jihad, how Muslims trap the girls, and how they are deceived and converted to Islam. 3. Launched Tejaswini with an aim to counter love jihad. At present, we have 550 women members who are directly working with a mission to counter Love jihad. And protect Hindu girls. 4. Through Tejaswini we are organizing free martial art classes for School and college going girls. 5. FIR lodged against Love jihadi Munim Uddin who kidnapped a Hindu Girl, after our agitation and diligent efforts the trapped girl was recovered from Meghalaya, police arrested Munim Uddin and sent to judicial custody. 6. FIR registered against child abusers Baharul and Hasibur Rahman. 7. Our lady Pracharak Fulmali Ree saved one Hindu girl. A 20-year-old Hindu student of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School in Barpeta district was lured by a Muslim youth into love jihad, but later, the Muslim youth started torturing her. The victim was recovered in July with the help of the police, and after that, shuddi yagna was conducted by the village priest. The Girl was forced to embrace Islam.  Later, through Yagna, she reconverted back to Hinduism. A book on love jihad was given to her mother and other family members. 8. Tejaswini saved the life of another Hindu Girl. Masuk Ali, a student of B A. In the 1st year of Katigorah, Cachar trapped a Hindu girl, Shefali Das (face blurred as the victims cannot be shown publicly), and proposed to her with the gift of a Mobile phone set. Shefali somehow convinced and started chatting with Masuk. Masuk's elder brother used to go to a Moulana of the mosque in this village. The whole family started planning to kidnap her. Masuk told Shefali that he wouldn't follow Islam, and through continuous brainwashing by the whole family, they succeeded in convincing Shefali to marry Masuk. They started dating. When the Tejaswini team learned about this case, they visited Shefali's house. With the help of family members, they took back the Mobile phone from her. Our Tejaswini team leader, Suparna Nath, broke that Mobile phone.  The first thing they wanted to do was to disconnect the regular conversation with Masuk. Then, they gave our booklet On Love Jihad, where Sri Samrat Dutt specifically wrote about the status of women in Islam and Hinduism. She read, and after one month, she realized the reality of Love jihad. Within just seven days Tejaswini convinced another boy from the same village to marry her. Last week, according to local customs, "Mangala Charan" (1st marriage ritual from the bride's family) of the girl was. Next month, their marriage will be solemnized. It is pertinent to mention here that this village is adjacent to the Bangladesh border, and considering the high Muslim population, no action can be taken against the boy. But we are happy that we saved the life of the girl, Shefali. 9. A signature campaign by the Hindu Advocates Forum to pass a law against Love jihad started. https://www.change.org/p/pass-a-law-against-love-jihad. 10. GHHF team visited Mizoram in the year 2022, met Love Jihad victim and her family, brought them to Assam, arranged residential accommodation in Assam. 11. Hindu Advocates Forum extended legal help to the love jihad victim family of Mili Nath. 12. An awareness campaign through Hindu Jagran Sabhas was started in several villages.  13. A signature campaign to Ban PFI was initiated. 14. Filed complaint case against local leaders of PFI Assam. [GHHF] Preparations are underway to do Prana Pratishta to Maremma Deity, install Dwajasthamba, and Kalasa on the Gopuram/ Sikhar in Kalyandurg in Andhra Pradesh

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is in the forefront in helping the villagers to provide guidance and help them to build Temples and perform Prana Pratishta to the presiding Deities.  Villagers from Kalyandurg approached our Chief Prist to assist in the installation of this Devi Mat Temple. As auspicious time and date was decided to do Prana Pratishta of Maremma deity, installation of flagpole and installation of Kalasa Shikhar as 6th of May next month at New Maremma Devasthanam of NTR Colony in Kalyandurg Mandal Center of Ananthapuram District. On 5th April morning, our Chief Priest Sri Gopi Krishna met with the villagers and talked about the commitment and dedication needed to construct a Temple. He advised them to take an oath to make sure that they will protect the Temple and continue to follow the required rituals. Along with villagers, Sri Gopi Chary took measurements to set up the flagpole in front of the temple. Similarly, an Invitation letter was prepared to invite people for Prana Pratishta and read to the villagers before it goes for printing. Meeting started from seven o'clock in the evening and discussing about the pooja programs to be done on the third day of the auspicious Day. Muhurta details and step by step procedure for the Prana Pratishta program was prepared and submitted to the villagers to make all necessary arrangements for May 6th.  In the past, GHHF has been requested to do pooja programs on behalf of our organization. Why Prana Pratishta? Within Hinduism there are special ceremonies where sacred images are formally installed in temples. These installation ceremonies are generally given two names: Murti Sthapana and Prana Pratishta. The word murti means sacred image and “sthapana” means “placing,” and so the murti sthapana ceremony is the “placing of the sacred image.” The other term, Prana Pratishta is a little less common, but still prevalent. “Prana” means “breath” and “Pratishta” means “establishing,” and so the Prana Pratishta ceremony is literally “establishing the breath” within the sacred image. In other words, it is bringing the sacred image to life. Instead of repeating both terms, I will just use the term Murti Sthapana to mean both. The process of worship in Hinduism invariably involves the use of 3 basic techniques, namely the mantra, the tantra and the yantra. Symbolically, they represent the 3 basic spiritual paths of Hinduism, made hugely popular by the teachings of Sri Vasudeva Krishna in the famous Bhagavad Gita. The mantra symbolizes the use of Jnana Marg, the path of knowledge, the tantra of Bhakti Marg, the path of devotion, and the yantra of Karmasanyas Marg or the path of detached action. Unless these three are present in some form or combination, the worship is incomplete.
