TTD to set up Gurukulams, Dharmika Mandals in all districts

ADILABAD: Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanamas (TTD) has taken a decision to establish spiritual Gurukulams on the lines of corporate educational institutions at a cost of Rs 15 crore in every district, TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said.
The TTD would also set up a Kendriya Dharmika Mandal in each district.

In Nizamabad: The TTD chairman on Tuesday toured the Nizmabad district and participated in Nichitartham programme of the identified beneficiaries of the TTD-sponsored Kalyanmasthu programme at Rajeev Gandhi auditorium in the city.
Later, addressing a press meet, he said that the TTD had urged the State Government to allot 20 acres of land in every district for the proposed spiritual Gurukulams. The government positively responded to its plea, he informed.
Karunakar Reddy said that the second phase of mass marriages under the Kalyanamasthu programme would be held at TTD kalyana mantapams and select function halls throughout the State on August 26.
Elaborate arrangements were being made and the co-operation of district administrations and the Endowments Department was being taken.
‘‘A separate trust will be formed to conduct the Kalyanamasthu programme every year, and we will continue to conduct mass marriages for the poor people,’’ he said.
The TTD was providing talibottu, mettelu, vasthralu and vindu bhojanam at such mass marriages.
He informed that the TTD had also decided to provide free cellar darshanam through the Vaikunta Pranganam at Thirumala for the newly-married couples under the Kalyanamasthu programme.
Several prominent personalities of the district gave a call to the economically backward youth to benefit from the TTD’s Kalyanamasthu programme.
Power and Coal Minister Md Ali Shabber, District Collector B Ramanjaneyulu, TTD Board Member P Sudarshan Reddy, MLAs G Ganga Reddy and S Gangaram, Nizamabad Mayor D Sanjay, MLC R Venkat Ram Reddy, District Congress Committee president G Gangadhar and officials and non-officials took part in the TTD chairman’s tour programme.
In Adilabad: Kendriya Dharmika Mandals would be set up soon in every district to safeguard the Hindu religion and tradition, according to TTD chairman Karunakar Reddy.
Addressing newsmen here, he said that the TTD was also planning to establish Bhajana Mandalis at all temples in the State.
He sought co-operation from the public and the NGOs for the successful conduct of the Kalyanamastu programme taken up to conduct mass marriages of poor youth in the State.
TTD would take all measures necessary to prevent conversion of Hindu people into other religions. Earlier, he visited the Lord Venkateshwara Swamy temple and addressed a public meeting at Nirmal.
He participated in the awareness programme with the officials and the elected representatives on the mass marriages. He also took part in the Dalit Govindam programme in Shantinagar in Adilabad.
