As M. Brieux, a member of the French Academy, writes:
"The noble minds of India, without having had the necessity of having recourse to experimental science like us, discovered the truths which we discover after them. By the unaided power of meditation, they have given an explanation of the universe which appeared ridiculous to us for a long time, but which our scholars are now beginning to accept."
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is extremely happy to inform that we have prepared a video of Bala Samskar students chanting Lingashtakam, We selected about 20 schools. As you all know more than 175 Bala Samskar Kendras are being conducted in Assam, Telangana, Andhra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Now GHHF started 3 schools in Bangladesh. in are organizing more than 175  Bala Samskar Kendras in five different States. Over the last one weeks they have organized a number of activities including preparing for the celebration of Maha Shivaratri.  Each school is teaching different things and at the same time they follow the required syllabus to ensue all the students learn things that are common to all the students. All the schools taught the chanting of Lingashtakam. It is challending as the ages of the students varied from one school to another.
On Maha Shivaratri Day, all the students in most of the center chanted Lingashtakam. Teachers require them to learn by heart to make sure that the children chant Lingashtakam without looking at the book.
The Lingasthakam Stotram is a prayer formed of eight salutations or invocations offered to the Supreme Deity in his aspect as Linga. Linga is the universal symbol of creation and source of everything. This prayer glorifies the Shiva Linga and details its greatness. Each stanza lists the God’s glory and the benefits of worshipping the Shiva Linga. It states that the linga is worshipped by Vishnu and Brahma as well. Filled with peace at all times, it destroys any suffering caused by the cycle of birth and rebirth.
Removes EIGHT poverties
Verse 7 of the said Ashtakam ends with the following line : Asta Daridra Vinasita Lingam,Tat Pranamami Sada Siva Lingam,
which refers to the Asta Daridras or the 8 types of poverties.
Ashta daridra means suffering from extreme poverty, exile, separation from spouse, arrival of guests while you don't have food to offer them, eating stale food, compulsion to cultivate friendship with enemies, waiting to be fed by others, insult and rumours on you.
