Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has organized the Ghar Waapasi program in and around areas in Visakhapatnam city for more than two years. Because of the severe folds that have affected the area, our Associate Kollu Srinivasa Rau along with Ajay Verma and several volunteers have assembled food items and delivered them to remote villages that were inundated with water. 
Hundreds of villages, mainly the lankas (island villages), along the course of Godavari are reeling under one of the worst floods as the swollen river has been discharging 19.05 lakh cusecs of water as on Friday morning.
The flood crossed the third danger signal at Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage at Dowaleswaram near Rajamahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh. "As many as 554 villages under 42 Mandals in six districts will face the impact of flood if the level touches 20 lakh cusecs at Cotton Barrage. Hence, we are accordingly alerting the district authorities concerned on the situation," Sai Prasad, who was monitoring the flood levels, said.
Newspapers report that the impact of the flood could be felt in 20 mandals in Konaseema district, eight mandals in East Godavari, five in Alluri Sitarama Raju, four in West Godavari, three in Eluru and two in Kakinada districts, according to the State Disaster Management Authority.
With Godavari turning more ferocious by the hour, the number of NDRF teams has been increased to eight and SDRF to 10 for carrying out rescue and relief operations.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation under the leadership of Kollu Srinivas assisted by our associate Ajay Verma have organized food distribution. Annadanam was done in these villages that were inundated with water. Sri Kollu Srinivasa Raju and Ajay Verma and many volunteers have taken the responsibility of distributing the food to these villages although the water was knee deep. Thy walked in these waters carrying the food items and delivered the items house by house.
Following villages received the food packets:
20/7/22 200 Bread 200 Packets of Milk Provided in Badu Score Village 
21/7/2022  Konaseema District Chinthapalli Lanka Village 1000 Meals
22/7/22 They went to Baduscore Village,  Pasarlapudi Badava village and Sriramapuram. Meals were arranged for 1200 people.
