[GHHF] Ghar Waapasi in Assam – 12 Christians returned to Hindu Dharma
Charles H. Townes
“Indian students should value their religious culture and of course, the classical Indian culture bears importantly on the meaning of life and values. I would not separate the two. To separate science and Indian culture would be harmful. …I don't think it is practical to keep scientific and spiritual culture separate.”
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that we have appointed four Pracharaks and Bala Samskar teachers in and around Cachar City in Assam. Cachar is an administrative district in the state. The district headquarters, Silchar, is one of the most important business centers of Assam. In 2006, the Indian government named Cachar one of the country's 250 most backward districts out of a total of 640.
Sri Samrat Dutt from Cachar has been coordinating and organizing activities in ASSAM– Ghar Waapasi and Bala Samskar and other activities. He was responsible for identifying four Pracharaks – two males and two females. Now we are conducting 19 Bala Samskar Kendras in Assam. Four of the at=re being conducted free of cost. The four teachers volunteered their services free of cost. . He even found three villages where Bala Samskar Kendras are being sponsored by them. GHHF would like to express our appreciation to Samrat Ji for his passion and determination to coordinate and supervise these activities.
His concern for the aggressiveness of Christians and Love Jihad by Muslims helped GHHF to organize these activities. We are grateful for his passion, dedication, and leadership qualities in organizing many of these activities.
12 Christians returned to Hindu dharma.
Twelve Christians from indigenous community retuned to Hindu Dharma. All pujas and rituals were performed as per their customs. They all went to nearby river purified themselves by taking a dip in the river. Rudrabhishekam was done. Later all the new Hindus were given new clothes.
GHHF Has appointed six Pracharaks who go to Christian as well as Muslim houses to talk about Hindu Dharma. Because of their efforts and Sri Samrat’s wide variety of activities, many villagers have been following all the activities being conducted over the last two months. Nine Christians returned to Hinduism. After that, they embraced Hinduism. All of those who reconverted to Hinduism felicitated with traditional clothes and, and pictures of Gods and Goddesses.
Sri Samrat informs that 12 Christians from different villages underwent the ritual and returned to Hinduism. They signed an Affidavit of their Return to Hinduism
Affidavits
The Affidavits states: “I have been influenced by Teaching, preaching, and customs of Sanatana Dharma. I have been practicing the Hindu way of life for two years and now I feel I should leave Islam and thus I adopted Hinduism. I shall be leading my life as a Hindu person and I will have remained a Hindu having full faith in the Hindu religion.
There is no force, fraud, undue influence, or coercion for taking the above decision of reconversion.
While talking to the Hindus, our Pracharaks highlighted the most preposterous statements with regard to incest and sexual promiscuity in the Bible. They read out some verses from Bible and read aloud to sow a few seeds of doubt about what they call the holy Bible.
As many of you are aware that the Christians are moving into the sacred city of Tirupati and its periphery in the Chittoor District. They are planning to start converting within a radius of 50 kilometers. Christians are moving into this area to convert as many people as possible to make Tirupati a sacrilegious place instead of keeping it as a sacred place.
Although many Hindu activists are doing many things, their efforts have not infiltrated into the villages where the conversion is taking place on a large scale. As Hindus concentrate on their intellectual endeavors, Christians are concentrating on conversion. It is time for all the intellectuals and activists to pause for a few minutes and look at the ground realities. Our intellectual endeavors and activists’ protests are not reaching the villages where conversion is rampant. We cannot ignore or turn away from what is happening on the ground.
