George Bernard Shaw, (1856-1950), Nobel Laureate in Literature. Famous British Author and Playwright, of books such as Pygmalion. He remarked: "The Indian way of life provides the vision of the natural, real way of life. We veil ourselves with unnatural masks. On the face of India are the tender expressions that carry the mark of the Creators hand. "

Sant Ravidas Jayanti is the birthday of Guru Ravidas, celebrated on Magha Purnima, the full moon day in the month of Magha month. It is the annual focal point for the Ravidassia religion. People across countries celebrate this special occasion in India. Also, devotees take a holy dip in the river to perform rites. The 2020 date for the Jayanti was February 27.

Ravidas Jayanti marks the birth of Ravidas Ji. Ravidas Ji is well-known for making efforts in eradicating the caste system. He has also contributed to the Bhakti movement and is well-recognized as a good friend and disciple of Kabir Ji. Mirabai was his disciple.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) is incredibly happy to organize the Ghar Waapasi program in Guntur District. Our Associate Srinivas came to know that many Hindu women were converted a few years ago and they are looking for a way out. He met a number Christian families who belonged to Chamar community (who leather goods - chappals, etc.) He spent a lot of time talking to them and was able to convince 40 Christian ladies to return to Sanatana Dharma on the grand celebration of the Sant Ravidas Jayanti

Following is the list of speakers who extolled the greatness of Sant Ramdas:

1) Sri Dokka Manikya Varaprasda, Ex- Minister

2) Sri K Ramprasada, Secretary, National Samarasata Organization

3) Sri V S Lakshmi Narayana, Convenor, Pragnabharati Guntur

4) Sri Subba Rao, Chamaar Community leader in the city

5) Sri D Srinivas, Pracharak of GHHF

GHHF is committed to engaging in Ghar Waapasi by giving utmost importance to welcome the converted Christians back to Hindus who may have drifted away for different reasons without full comprehension. This is the only way to bring back those who took the wrong path for different reasons.
