Princeton Texas community honored a few prominent people in the Community:  Mayor Brianna Chacon, Candidate of City Mayor Eugene Escobar, President Elect of Indian Association Rajiv Kamath, President of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, Prakasarao Velagapudi and others. 
Dr. Prakasa Rao spoke about the contribution of Indian Asina as follows:
I want to thank all the organizers of Princeton Community for organizing the Diwali festival on such a large scale. Look at the talent the artists are demonstrating in front of us. Today we are celebrating one of the most popular festivals of Hindus.
Diwali is known as “festival of Lights.  A Row of Lights.” Diwali is the “victory of knowledge over ignorance.” Light over darkness; hope over despair; good over evil, 
Dr. Rich McCormick lauded the Indian American community describing them as great patriots, upstanding citizens, and good friends.
American Asians were appreciated especially those who have immigrated from India One out of every five doctors in my community are from India. They represent some of the best citizens we have in America, we should make sure that we streamline the immigration process for those who come here to obey the law and pay their taxes.”
Indian Americans who constitute about one per cent of the US population pay about six per cent of the taxes, the Congressman said, remarking that this community does not cause problems and follows the laws.
“They don’t have the problems that we see other people have when they come to the emergency room for overdoses and depression, anxiety because they’re the most productive, most family oriented and the best of what represents American citizens. God bless my Indian constituents,” US Congressman said.
“They represent some of the best citizens we have in America. We should make sure that we streamline the immigration process for those who come here to obey the law and pay their taxes,” the congressman said, urging for a streamlined visa process.
About five million Indian Americans currently reside in the US and constitute the third largest Asian ethnic group.
Indians are the single highest group in the entire nation with the greatest economy. 
The medina income Asian Indians is $126,705 compared $66,000 for white population.
How did Indian Americans become rich in the US?
Median Income
Indians are the highest earners in the US amongst all groups, with an average median household income of $141,906.  On average, median household income in 2021 was $69,021, the United States Census Bureau’s data shows.

Observing that their contributions to the US tax base are also notable, the report says although they make up only 1.5 per cent of the population, it is estimated that they pay about 5-6 per cent of all income taxes (i.e., USD 250 billion to USD 300 billion). Additionally, their professions indirectly create 11-12 million American jobs, showcasing their broader economic influence beyond big business success.

According to the report, research, innovation, and academia in the US have thrived thanks to the contributions of the Indian diaspora.

Several prominent Indian American CEOs currently lead major companies in the US, including Sundar Pichai at Google (Alphabet), Satya Nadella at Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen at Adobe, Arvind Krishna at IBM, Sanjay Mehrotra at Micron Technology, and Laxman Narasimhan at Starbucks, Vimal Kapur. CEO of Honeywell highlighting, Niren Chaudhary: CEO of Panera Bread a significant presence of Indian Americans in top corporate positions. Twitter’s Parag Agrawal, Albertsons’ Vivek Sankaran, Micron Technology’s Sanjay Mehrotra, FedEx’s Raj Subramaniam, and NetApp’s George Kurian.
Steve Jobs went to India and his perspective in life has changed. The most important thing he learned from was Intuitive knowledge. He said even a villager has that intuitive knowledge. Autobiography of a Yogi written by Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda changed his life. He read it when he was a college student. When he became in charge of Apple, the only book he downloaded into his iPad was this book. As per his Autobiography he stated that he read this about 40 times. He said he read every year to get more inspiration and courage and fearlessness.    
When he came to know that he had cancer, he planned his funeral and invited more than 500 top executives of the companies, spiritual leaders and some politicians.  Following the funeral, everyone was given a wooden box. What was in it in that box?  It was an Autobiography of a Yogi.  Imagine how much influence it had on Steve Jobs and how much it would have on these people who received it.
    It is the duty of all Hindus to acquire this book and read, learn, digest, appreciate and take pride in their cultural heritage.  Let us resolve to learn the richness of our culture and grandeur of our heritage.
