On January 26, seven organizations met to celebrate India Republic Day and discuss our abiding interest in serving and protecting Sanatana Dharma and Bharat. Agasthiyar Kalai Mandir, HSS, OFBJP, VHP, GHHF, DJF, Kannadigas, and other organization representatives attended the meeting to talk about what is happening in Bharat, Indian Constitution, Mumtaj Hotel, Christianization in Tamil Nadu around major Temples and so on.
Prakasarao Velagapudi, President of GHHF, spoke about preserving and protecting Sanatana Dharma, Bharat, and Hindu Temples. He said every Hindu should take ownership of Sanatana Dharm and work toward her preservation. Lord Rama said that mother and motherland is greater than heaven. He advised Lakshmana to work toward the preservation of Sanatana Dharma and Bharat. We all should take the passion of Lord Rama and follow in his footsteps. If anyone criticizes Sanatana Dharma, we should take it as if our own mother is attacked.
We Hindus are failing to transmit our knowledge to the next generation. Our children are defenseless with adequate knowledge about the richness of our cultural heritage. We as parents should spend enough time learning about our Dharma and pass it on to our children and grandchildren. We have everything in our religion. As Mark Twain said, there is nothing under the sun that our ancient Rishis have not addressed. About 30 Nobel laureates have acknowledged the greatness of Hindu scriptures and how they inspired them.
He talked about the construction of the illegal Mumtaz Hotel next to the footsteps of Seven Hills. GHHF has written letters to Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan to stop the illegal construction and has requested that they not make the sacred city into a sin city. Tirupati Urban Development, TTD Chairman, TTD Trust Board, Peruru Panchayat, and others opposed and requested the government to scrap the project approved by the Jaganmohan Reddy government. It is, in fact, contrary to GO 746 issued in 2007 by the Rajasekara Reddy government, which says all the roads leading from Tirupati to Tirumala are from Chandragiri, Alipiri, Srivari Mettu, and Chittoor District Boarder. GHHF is also planning to have a weeklong demonstration in Tirupati to awaken the Hindus and motivate them to get involved in keeping the TTD as a Punyakashetra.
Srinivas Pinnamaneni, Vice-President of GHHF, spoke extensively about the operations at the ground level in nine different States in Bharat and Bangladesh. He talked about seven different activities being undertaken at the ground level. He talked about the syllabus, how we inspire the children, teach them about different national heroes and moral stories, and practice our rich culture through the Pada Sparas program, where we invite the parents to the school and the children perform Pada Puja. Now, parents are getting involved as they see a lot of change in their children.
He also talked about Gharwapsi, where our Volunteers teach our Hindu families about the difference between Hindu Dharma and the Christian Bible. Our Volunteers spoke to the villagers, formed village committees, and strategies to encounter forced conversions. Talking about Assa, he mentioned that participation in GHHF activities is increasing yearly. Last year, we had about 500 people attending our meetings. This year's meetings were conducted in Silchar, and the second was performed on the Manipur border. Over 1,200 people attended the first meeting, and about 1,100 participated in the Manipur meeting. He also mentioned the formation of Tejaswini, a ladies’ wing addressing the issues of women, love jihad, and family unity.
Many people talked about different issues and expressed their opinions. They showed interest in doing similar activities in their own States. Raghav Seth, Balaji, Senthil Lumar, T J Swami, Chandrasekhar, Bharat, Vigyan Gotewal, Satish Koosam, Hanumath, Ramana and others spoke.
The meeting ended with the singing of India's National anthem.
