Global Hindu Heritage Foundation initiated Bala Samskar Kendras committed to teaching about the richness of Sanatana Dharma through various stories from epics, national heroes, great Maharishis, remarkable Temples, respect for parents, conducting yoga classes, and so on. But we also make it a point to teach about morals and their impact on children’s personalities. We decided to teach our students moral values through short stories. These stories contribute to the child’s personality, character, and moral fabric. 
Once upon a time there lived a monkey on a tree on the bank of a river. It lived by eating the sweet fruits of that tree. The monkey enjoyed eating some fruit and throwing some into the water every day. One of the crocodiles living in the water used to eat the fruit that the monkey threw into the water.
The crocodile liked those fruits so much that one day he said, 'O monkey, I like these fruits very much. I enjoy eating the fruits you threw in the water. Can you please give me some fruit every day?
From that day, monkey cut a few fruits and started giving fruits to crocodile. Thus. the crocodile and the monkey became good friends in no time.
The crocodile forgot his wife and children at home and spent most of his time with the monkey. The crocodile's wife got very angry. 'After becoming friends with this monkey, my husband stopped spending time with me. If I don't get rid of this pain, my husband will be away from me', she thought. Meanwhile, the crocodile came home one day to take the fruits given by the monkey and give them to his wife. He saw his wife lying down and said, 'What happened? Why are you there?' she asked. I've been feeling extremely stressed lately. No matter how many doctors I asked, they all told me that the drug made from monkey heart can reduce my headache. Now where can we find the heart of the monkey?' said the crocodile's wife sadly. 'Oh! Is that all? Don't worry yourself. I have a monkey friend. I will ask for his heart. The crocodile said, "Your head must come down."
He immediately went to the monkey and said, 'Friend, my wife told me that even though we have been friends for a long time, I never brought you to our home. That's why I called you and came to the bush' she said. 'But how can I get into the water?' The monkey expressed doubt. Crocodile said “You sit on my back. I will take you to our house in a moment' Believing the crocodile's words to be true, the monkey came down from the tree and sat on the crocodile's back. Carrying the monkey, the crocodile headed home. After going some distance in the water, the crocodile started crying. Seeing the crocodile's tears, the monkey asked anxiously, 'Why are you crying, my friend?'
'What are you talking about, my friend!”  The wife was telling me about the medicine prescribed by the doctors... telling the monkey everything in detail, 'I am telling you this in advance because you are my good friend,’ said the crocodile. The clever monkey understood that the crocodile's wife had plotted to kill him. That's why 'Oh! What a job my friend did! It would have been better if you had said this earlier!' 'What just happened?' asked the crocodile. I put my heart on a tree. You will not profit by taking me heartless to your house' 'Is it? What shall we do next?'  Take me to the tree immediately. I will come quickly with my heart. Then your wife will also be happy. She will get medicine for her headache.' said the monkey.
The clever crocodile believed those words and brought the monkey back to the riverbank. That's when the monkey jumped up on the bank and sat on the tree. No matter how hard the monkey came, the crocodile shouted, 'My friend, come quickly'. Then the monkey laughed 'Hi! Do you want to save your wife by killing me, traitorous friend? I know your frustration. Is the heart anywhere on the tree? I conquered fraud with fraud. With this, the friendship between you and me has ended. Go back the way you came!' said the monkey. The crocodile turned away in despair, ashamed of what he had done and saddened by the loss of a good friend.
Moral: To escape from deceivers, one must defeat them by deception.
