[GHHF] Learn to overcome anger, jealousy and hasty decisions to succeed in life by working with colleagues as per Bhagavad Gita.
“Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” Mark Twain
A young man named Kishore worked in a big company. He is brilliant but makes very hasty decisions. Get angry over small things and ignore others' words for promotion.
One day, a competition was organized for promotion in his company. Everyone is working hard. The teenager also worked hard through the night. But his colleague Ravi planned very well and moved forward, helping the team.
Seeing Ravi's name on the promotion list, Kishore raged. "I did everything once, but my name did not come! It's wrong!" He angrily attacked his superiors. He resigned from the company in anger and came out.
Once unemployed, he started feeling sad to leave the office. Then, his father gave him a book and asked him to read it. The teenager started reading that book with great attention. In that book, Kishore saw a verse from the Bhagavad Gita said by Shri Krishna:
tasmat tvam indriyanyadau niyamya bharatarshabha
papmanam prajahi hyenam jnana-vijnana-nashanam
(Therefore, in the very beginning, O best of the Bharatas bring the senses under control and slay this enemy called desire, which is the embodiment of sin and destroys knowledge and realization.)
Kishore, after reading those verses, immediately thought about your fundamental mistake. He understood where he was making a mistake. "My anger and haste have ruined my future. I must change my wrong nature." He thought so.
From that day, the teenager learned to control his anger and intolerance. After a few months, he joined a new company. This time, he worked with his colleagues with good friendship and patience. He performed brilliantly and was promoted to manager in a short time.
He, who till now was a slave to anger, achieved success through his self-determination.
Moral of the Story:
Anger and intolerance destroy our knowledge and wisdom.
We should give up the desire to win every single time – the joy of winning as a team is more extraordinary.
Admiration and ego overshadow yesterday's success.
Every decision should be made thoughtfully, as haste destroys our future.
"Those with patience will be victorious."
