“One point of difference between Hinduism and other religions is that in Hinduism we pass from truth to truth-from a lower truth to a higher truth-and never from error to truth.” Swami Vivekananda
Many of us have the habit of going to the temple. Whether male or female, big or small, many of us visit the temple towers. Why should we go to the temple???
Going to the temple is not a matter of habit. There are scientific benefits behind visiting temples. There are thousands of temples, big or small, in our country. However, not all of them are considered Vedic temples. Only temples that are built strictly by following the rules and regulations are considered by the Gurus. Such are the most famous. Although other temples are also holy places, some temples have become more sacred. They have acquired local significance.
A temple should be built where there are great waves of gravitational force radiating in the earth. Just as there is gravitational force between the North and South poles, there are famous temples where positive energy radiates in the earth. That is why, as soon as you step into such temples, your body and mind get peace.
In the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, where the waves of sublime attraction are concentrated, a copper leaf (copper foil) with Vedic mantras written on it is kept in the place where the Moolavirattu is kept. Copper metal has the property of absorbing the energy waves present in the earth. In this way, the copper releases the absorbed attraction to the surrounding areas.
Therefore, those who have the habit of going to the temple daily and circumambulating the sanctum sanctorum where the Moolavirattu is located, are affected by those waves and they flow into their bodies. Even if those who go to the temple once in a while are affected by that energy, there is no noticeable difference. But those who go to the temple regularly are clearly aware of the positive energy that accumulates.
Otherwise, the sanctum sanctorum is closed on three sides and open on only one side. Therefore, the positive energy is concentrated in the sanctum sanctorum near the entrance and is very high.
Bells are rung in temples. Vedic mantras are recited. Devotional songs are sung. These sweet sounds provide energy.
The flowers offered to the god in the temple, camphor aarti, incense sticks, sandalwood, turmeric, and saffron, which are chemically reacted in the body, release energy.
The energy waves from the location of the Moola Virattu, along with the sounds of temple bells, mantra chanting, flower fragrances, camphor, incense sticks, sandalwood, turmeric, and saffron, as well as the medicinal properties of the Tirtha prasadam, are noted for their various benefits.
Coconuts and bananas are offered to the god in the temple. These coconuts and bananas are given as prasadam to the devotees. Consuming these provides many medicines needed by the body.
Green camphor, cardamom, frankincense, basil leaves, cloves, etc. are added to the Tirtha. All these ingredients have medicinal properties. The holy water consumed by those who visit the temple is very beneficial. It purifies blood. It gives longevity and health. It helps one to be cheerful and enthusiastic.
